“Access to the Sheftival Arena, where you can watch at least a dozen of this year’s biggest names in pop, courtesy of Tramlines and Real Radio. They will be playing alongside artists like Stooshe, Lemar, Toots and the Maytals, The Beat, The Selecter, The Lightning Seeds, Dodgy and a whole load more.
There is a World Music Stage with some of the godfather of Reggae, like Macka B and a range of truly global artists. The Sharrow Festival will be entertaining the family with workshops, performances and activities for all ages. And we have three other music stages too. The Monkey Bump Dance Tent, The Buskers Barge and The Jamaican Jerk BBQ, The Thornbridge Tent and The Jettyside Live Area.
On top of that, you also get: free ice-skating in iceSheffield and a foam party on ice, if you are that way inclined. £1 off all fairground rides at Sheftival (50p of kids rides). Free access to the gyms at the English Institute of Sport – Sheffield and Don Valley Stadium. There is even half price access to a load of Sheffield’s independent nightclubs if you want to carry on partying later. Oh – and did we mention our inflatable crazy golf course?”
The Olympic opening ceremony had Sheffield steel, Jess Ennis, Seb Coe and the Arctic Monkeys so it seems only right to celebrate in Sheffield, yes??
It should be an awesome weekend… See you there
Love Sam xx
