Why you need to love Dead Sons

Dead Sons are five giddy boys from Sheffield making dirty, sexy rock n roll.

If you haven’t had the ear splitting, liver bleeding pleasure of seeing them live, you need to make it a priority.  The line up is a who’s who of Sheffield indie boys with Joe Green and Tom Rowley (Milburn/Back Handed Compliments) Ryan Sellars (Back Handed Compliments) Mathew ‘Bernie’ Byrne and possibly the prettiest boy in Sheffield, Luke Baker.

The Boom Booom EP is currently available on iTunes and kicks arse.  Starting with the ridiculously catchy Shotgun Woman (if you haven’t seen the video to this, you need to go watch it now and learn the dance) this four song EP showcases the very best of Sheffield music.

I was with the band when they made the Bangonfullturn – it takes a lot to turn my stomach, but these dirty boys managed it…

The EP ends with Better Than Being Alone – a heart wrenching, beautiful, melodic song proving this band aren’t a one trick pony.  I dare you not to fall in love.
